True authenticity; recording emotions in images to vividly bring you back to each moment.

I’m Oliver Bohlman — a Seattle based documentary-style photographer who captures unscripted, candid photos of weddings and events.

After spending over two decades traveling the world with my camera, I turned my passion into my profession. I left corporate leadership to follow my heart, making my extensive experience in documentary photography available to clients looking for an artist to capture the emotions of their event, as it unfolds in the moment.

My wife, Michelle and I have been married for over 30 years; our son and his wife just had their first child in January, 2026! We live in a cozy little Victorian home in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle, built in 1907! I enjoy listening to vintage jazz vinyl records from the late 50’s and early 60’s. I write with a fountain pen. I savor the flavors of my morning cup of coffee…black, no sugar, no cream. I enjoy quiet mornings reading the paper on my porch as the sun rises; thankful for another beautiful day.

We also believe strongly in giving back…I donate 10% of my revenue to the Boys and Girls Club of King County.

My work isn’t about checking boxes or staging scenes; it’s about watching closely and settling into the background so genuine emotions — laughter, quiet glances, chaotic joy, and tender pauses — can be seen and remembered. Polished, professional, and deeply observant, I document your day as it happens so you can simply be present and enjoy every moment.

I’m a sports enthusiast. Growing up I played soccer and was a runner. As an adult I’ve become an Ironman triathlete, raced bicycles and enjoy playing golf. We love going to watch the Mariners, Seahawks and Kraken play.

Life is good; I’m thankful for the people around me, the place we live, the opportunities I’ve had and I look forward to the rest of my journey through life.
